Author’s Note: This is like the easiest Chicken recipe you could ever come across. The reason why the quantity is so less is that these were the extra pieces leftover after slicing fillets for the Indian Chicken Bake Recipe.. An aunty from Andhra had once taught my mom this recipe..
I am taking this to Fiesta Friday…
The Christmas Gift
It has almost been three days since I met my 9 year old son. He likes having me around very often but my job doesn’t allow the same. Being a single mom I am forced to be extra dedicated to my job. But this time he is going to be more pissed than ever because I have missed Christmas.
I don’t think I have the guts to face that innocent, disappointed face of his. So just like anyone else will do, I am looking for the most amazing Christmas gift to pacify my little one. After 2 hours of strenuous searching, I found the most expensive and most attractive digital car ever. Heaving a sigh of relief, I bill the car, rush out of the airport and call for a taxi. An hour later I reach home. He is talking with my mother. On seeing me, to my surprise, he runs to give me a tight hug.
“Mama! Mama!”
“Merry Christmas sweetheart” I kiss him on the forehead and give him the gift.
He takes it with a wide smile and puts it away.
“Mummy, your presence is the biggest gift ever. Let’s go have dinner, I’ll open this later,” he says with the most angelic smile ever.
The excitement in his eyes made me feel guilty. I only wish I hadn’t wasted those precious two hours looking for his gift when I already had one….
