The lovely Millie Thom from milliethom.wordpress.com, nominated me for The Dragon’s Loyalty award. I am really glad she thinks of me as a loyal follower. If you haven’t checked out her blog yet, you are surely missing out on a lot! She has already published books on amazon and another one is on it’s way. Her blog speaks about Historical places. Her writing brings those places to life.
Rules:
1. Display the award on your blog. Done
2. Announce your win with a post and link to the blogger who nominated you. Partly done
3. Present 6 deserving bloggers with the award.
4. Link to your awardees in the post.
5. Write 7 things about you.
So the 7 things about me! Hmm..hard to say only 7 though!
1. I watch a lot of movies! Rom coms especially! Letters to Juliet, Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve got mail, Serendipity are some of my favourites. I think Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan were the best rom com couple!
2. I like doing computer programming! Java is the best. No wonder I am doing Computer Science Engineering..xD
3. I like reading classics. Wuthering Heights is one of my favourites. Pollyanna and Little Women too. I also like reading rom coms. I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella and Battle for Bittora by Anuja Chauhan are my favs!
4. I would like to write a travel – food journal. I want to travel to places and learn some authentic, traditional recipes from each place. I don’t want to try out food from restaurants but from a common man’s kitchen. I have to save money for that though. It’s a long time goal!
5. I want to become a part time Wedding Planner. Weddings make we really happy and I think everyone should have a memorable one no matter what the budget is.
6. I am so super lazy! Mornings tend to bring out the worst in me.
7. Biryani is my favourite food ever. There are different types and I want to try every type!!!!
My nominations:
Freda from aromaticessence.co
Laurie from tentimestea.wordpress.com
Trupti from myculinarysaga.com
Natascha from nataschapalace.wordpress.com
CHCOOKS from cookingfromheart.wordpress.com

Great answers, Lina. I love Wuthering Heights. It’s been one of my favourite books since I was doing my ‘A’ levels at school in the 1960s! I also love Little Women, I wish you every luck on your road to becoming a Wedding Planner. It sounds like interesting, and probably challenging, work. I also hope you manage to write your travel-food journal. That would be a great thing to do – so you’d better start saving now. 🙂
Thank you for accepting the nomination, and for saying the nice things about me. 🙂

You have a lot of goals, I hope you can aspire to them all! I love that you are a foodie blogging computer geek. I’m a software support business analyst by day. I get to troubleshoot bugs, test fixes, and write requirements documents to get them fixed. The platform for our software is a combination of Java for the front-end UI and RPG iSeries for the back-end processing. I took a bunch of computer programming classes in the early 80s (COBAL, FORTRAN, etc.) but then ended up getting a journalism degree instead. You never know where life will take you!

Congrats Lina! Thanks so much for the nomination! You’re such a loyal follower for me so I’m very honoured to be mentioned!
Love fact #4–it sounds so fun and exciting! In regards to fact #7, I remember you’ve post a biryani recipe (maybe more than one?) before. Knowing that it’s your favourite food, I’ll have to try making one someday!

Congratulations on the award. I like that you want to write a travel food book with traditional recipes. I love traditional foods ( and art ) as well. They are always interesting to try to make. I am off to check out your recipes….

That is so nice to hear…I want my blog to be all about traditional food…With so many fast food joints certain recipes are forgotten..That is why I started a challenge with traditional recipes..

A fantastic idea. My recipes are usually Scandinavian/European in origin, but I am keen to try other food too.

That’s great! I have never tried Scandinavian..will go through your blog properly..Trying other cuisines is great…I am an Indian, so mostly you will find Indian recipes here..

Well, my recipe pages have Australian type recipes, but the traditional ones that are there, are Scandinavian. Australia seems to young a country to classify them as traditional, but Anzac biscuits could possibly make the grade!
